Please note this group is for refraction , i.e. the bending of light as it passes through a transparent medium such as water, glass or air, and is not intended for reflection of light from a surface
It's common to see 'things left on posts', so please post your TLOP images.
Things left on walls and things left on fences etc. are also accepted.
The intention of the group is to document the wonder of objet trouvé, rather than photograph things intentionally placed on posts for artistic purposes.
Geotagging is greatly encouraged.
Welcome to ~Mysterious Ways~ a gathering place for photos of a different sentience, is my own creation, designed when I got frustrated by lack of administration at one of Flickr's dream style groups.
We broadened the criteria to include a wider array of artistic merit and are looking for photos that make you look twice to actually "see" the image, even if it is not abstract. Multi-layered, double exposures, reflections, a blending of two worlds together... they all belong here
"Pareidolia" refers to the phenomenon of recognising supposed faces, familiar beings or objects in things and/or patterns.
Such "found faces" are not real faces of living people, animals or figures, but supposed "faces" that our imagination allows us to recognise in objects.
It is all about deception and illusion.
