A view along Platform One at Minehead station on the West Somerset Railway Opened in 1874 the sea front station now has platform 1280 feet (ca. 390 m) and a canopy of 200 feet (ca. 61 metres) HBM and a good week ! Large view may help with detail.

Ex GWR 2-8-0 2857 pulls away from Bishops Lydeard Station and starts on the climb up to Crowcombe station, which is the first stop on the 22-mile journey to Minehead. Bishops Lydeard loco shed far distance right HFF and a peaceful weekend. Large may be worth a go

Watchet Harbour and the end the mineral railway line, The Mineral Railway was built between in the mid 19th century to take iron ore from the mines on the Brendon Hills to the waiting boats for transportation to South Wales. Class 33 Crompton D6566 skirts the foreshore as it approaches Blue Anchor Station on the West Somerset Heritage Railway, The misty north east corner of Exmoor forms the backdrop while the man and his dog walk towards Minehead on the England Coastal Path, Large may be better

Great Western

In the sidings at Minehead Station on the West Somerset Railway. Built by the North British Locomotive Company Ltd, Glasgow in November 1930 for the Great Western Railway it was renumbered to L34 when sold to the London Transport Executive on 4th November 1959, after 12 years working engineering trains on London Transport it was purchased by 7029 Clun Castle Ltd and is on loan to the WSR for the 2019 Season (where is was repainted back to green)

Waiting to reverse onto the the last train of the day at Williton Station on the West Somerset Railway. Leaves change colour as summer gives way to autumn and the days grow shorter. The bridge carries the railway line that runs from Kyle of Lochalsh to Dingwall in the Scottish Highlands.. Taken in the 1950s with a Kodak box camera and captured on the Somerset and Dorset Railways Bridgwater North to Edington Junction Line which had by then been connected to the GWR Docks branch at Bridgwater North station, The employees in the photograph are setting the points to allow access to John Boards brick and tile works siding which sat at the start of the 1 in 72 bank that raised the line over the GWR Main Line and the A38 trunk road which was at that time the main route to the West Country.
