There are no public railways in the Iceland of today but two early 20th century locomotives can still be found. The 900mm Reykjavik Harbour Railway which operated from 1913-1928 in connection with the construction of the harbour breakwaters. (A placard at the site refers to 1913-1917). 'Pioner' , the longer lived of its two locomotives can be found at the Icelandic Folk Museum at Arbær whilst 'Minør' sits on a short section of track alongside the roadway at Reykjavik Harbour. 200_3_P1000830E
