The cruise port at Philipsburg, St. Maarten was much quieter than on my two previous visits. The area in the foreground of this picture can be very busy when up to six ships are visiting. Viking Sea was alone for more another hour after this late morning photograph was taken. Costa Pacifica arrived at lunchtime. This third visit to Philipsburg was the quietest for cruise ships. Costa Pacifica [qv] arrived much later but when we left Viking Sea for the walk to town, we did not know what to expect so I wanted one guaranteed shot of our ship. We had arrived from St. John's, Antigua and the next port, Charlotte Amalie, would be the last before returning to Puerto Rico. 200_3_P1100484R
