Clinton Cards was a high-profile casualty but part of the business re-emerged as the smartly branded Clintons. My first sight of the new image, which is still being rolled out, was in Bedford's Silver Street where a large store stands between that street and Hawes Court. There was further interest in the form of the building it occupies which dates from 1848.
