Working with my photographs more than thirty years after many of them were taken, I have had, in some cases, to do a considerable amount of research to add information to the notes written on the backs of the originals. The records show that the Urban Transit Authority was renamed State Transit Authority as early as January 1989 but, nearly one year later, these three vehicles, seen at Sydney's Circular Quay, were still in the original livery. By this time, a once more diverse fleet consisted largely of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This picture shows, I think, an O405 flanked by two O305s. I stand to be corrected. British Transport Police Mercedes-Benz Vito B316/LJ66FNP on William IV Street, London. This is an Underground Network Incident Response Team vehicle and was probably present in connection with the gas leak in nearby St Martins Lane, documented earlier in my photostream. This was taken about three hours after the official start of the incident and, although a certain amount of order had been restored, there were still a lot of emergency vehicles, including unmarked cars, around. As what I hope is a bit of a treat for my bus and coach enthusiast contacts, I photographed this Icelandic registered (TD 302) Auwärter Clubstar bodied Mercedes-Benz of Soleil de Minuit/Midnight Sun Travel in the car park of the Radisson Blu Saga hotel, Reykjavík. The body is, as far as I know, not seen in the UK. 200_3_P1000787
