A Little Birdhouse (In My Soul) - 12 November 202…

The ravaged remains of Brighton's West Pier are not the city's most attractive feature but the birds like them as do countless photographers. 5300_DSC_3265CE

Regency Splendour - 13 November 2021

The Royal Pavilion, Brighton. I chose what I hope is a slightly different angle which, in fact, makes the Royal Pavilion look a bit more splendid that it currently is. It could do with a lick of paint but I understand that funds have been diverted to fix a roof leak in (I assume) the museum building. TZ70_2_P1000984E

It's A Long Shot - 1 July 2014

02 Jul 2014 127
To be a railway enthusiast these days is to need to own a car and to expect to be frustrated by the fortifications at many locations. I had the opportunity to visit Lovers Walk today and was determined to leave with a photograph. The hilly topography of Brighton does not aid sight lines and 3rd rail electrification means all sorts of fencing and barriers. So, today's shot of beautifully presented Class 09 09026 'Cedric Wares' is a long shot - but I am quite pleased with it. 200_P1040323

HedKandi Brighton - 27 September 2013

The HedKandi bar and club in West Street, Brighton was, as far as I can tell, short lived. The building interests me and more information would be welcome. It looks like the inevitable former cinema. X20_DSCF2277

The Flag Still Flies - 27 September 2013

The Grand Hotel (now part of De Vere Hotels) was the scene nearly 29 years ago of the dramatic and notorious bombing targetting the Conservative Party. It now stands as probably the most attractive of the Brighton seafront hotels which, for the most part, range from the faded to the architecturally bankrupt. X20_DSCF2276
