G-ZBJC over London - 20 June 2014

20 Jun 2014 136
A fortuitous shot of BA B787 G-ZBJC over central London. Even with my modest camera I can read the registration. Cameras today never cease to amaze me. 200_P1040038C

V8-DLB at Heathrow (2) - 3 March 2014

03 Mar 2014 149
Purists are not going to care much for this shot but I continue to marvel at the power of a long lens on even a modest camera as a substitute for being airside and as an alternative to getting no shot at all. In the mid-afternoon, Royal Brunei B787-8 V8-DLB is seen (with Aeromexico B767-200 XA-OAM in the background) shortly after being pushed back from its remote stand to be put on to a gate after its day at Terminal 4. 200_P1010136

G-ZBJB at Heathrow - 14 November 2013

15 Nov 2013 209
The New Order and the Old In this snatched shot with unfortunate visible reflections, BA B787-8 G-ZBJB taxys between the B and C gates of Heathrow's Terminal 5 and is about to pass B747-400 G-CIVJ. 400s are also in the foreground and behind VJ. In the far background, the roof of Wembley Stadium can clearly be seen. TZ30_P1010381

Snapshots from Gatwick (5) - 4 September 2013

05 Sep 2013 142
Today's short series of snapshots is, in part, a reaction to the fact that it is now so unnecessarily difficult to photograph at London's airports and, in part, an attempt to continue to develop what can be done through an aeroplane window. Some record shots are, I think, worthwhile even with a little lack of quality so I snapped Thomson B787-8 G-TUIA as my first proper sight of a 787 (if you don't count a glimpse of the then stranded Qatari example at Heathrow).
