As a result of the latest public vote, snow images now dominate our homepage:
That’s not necessarily a bad thing - after all, snow is universally associated with winter. Just look at Google: search for 'winter', and you’ll find it’s almost entirely snow-covered landscapes. Even the Winter Olympics take place exclusively in ice and snow!
Still, our homepage has the potential to showcase so much more. Winter is a season full of variety, and there are so many photographic stories to tell beyond snowy scenes.
Our homepage should reflect the full creative range of our community. So, let’s broaden our collection of winter imagery! Think about cozy portraits of people enjoying the season, urban winter impressions, dramatic plays of light, or completely unexpected perspectives that redefine how we see winter. The possibilities are endless!
