Wonderful clean lines both in the stairs and in the statue! And it looks nicely cool in the heat:-)

I like the pure simplicity of the limited color palette. It emphasizes the shapes.

That's a gorgeous staircase Isabel............and Ilike the statue as well. Both have simple, clean lines and work well together. Are the marble?

I like the PiP, but much prefer the main image!

In my house floors are marble and walls in the bathrooms too. We have marble quarries in Portugal so marble is quite comon on houses and appartments.

I thought so. I'm guessing that it's much cheaper as well............it would be terribly expensive to do over here. Even a marble kitchen work surface is expensive!

It must help to keep the house cool as well.

We could not stand tapestry... so most houses are floored with marble or tiles...

I think the main image cropped to remove the statue would also make a great image relying on the lines and subtle margins of the marble

I love thé min8malism…and I am sure the steps provide cool relief to feet in the heat. Live from -2° winter to what I read is a horrible hot summer in Portugal and Spain.
Keep cool ❤️❤️❤️

I think the real and big problem is that we had scarce rain in winter… and without water…
About high temperatures news are making it worse than it is, we always has heat waves and very high temperatures in dry season. Maybe a little more waves than some other years but nothing to justify journalistic sensationalism… and in our areas people know how to deal with temperatures, what is new and alarming is the lack of water.
Hugs fron thirsty land!

A fine composition, Isabel: verticals, horizontals and diagonals, all well-balanced. An interesting sculpture, too.
