WE HAD SCHEDULED THE FIRST VISIT... FORTUNATELY! WE HAD THE IMPRESSION TO BE ALWAYS PUSHED FROM BEHIND BECAUSE THERE WERE MORE VISITORS AND TIME WAS CONTROLLED. GUIDE SHOWED US THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHIC SPOTS AND EVEN HELPED WHO NEEDED TOO WITH GEAR SETTINGS... BUT WE ALWAYS HAD TO MOVE, NO TIME FOR THINKING OR GIVE WINGS TO CREATIVITY. AND NO PHOTOS ON THE WAY BACK, WE WERE PUSHED OUTSIDE... THE PLACE IS AWSOME BUT THE VISIT IS VERY DISAPPOINTING... AND TOO MUCH CROWD AT THE SAME TIME TO ENJOY. THE CANYON FED BY PEOPLE LIKE A GOOSE BEFORE XMAS...

you did a great job even with these time problems. It is better than the Louvres Museum where you have only one minute to look at La Joconde.

One minute? You are generous... When I was there (in front of La Joconde) I had a group of ... (I will not tell wherefrom here) ... pushing like if they had to enter a filled up tube... therefore I could not enjoy looking at her but had the time to see she kept smiling mysteriously through the thickness of the protecting glass... maybe thinking how stupidly crazy fans can be.
Fortunately I had the oportunity to admire her in peace many many years ago...

Places get loved to death these days, I'm afraid. I'm sorry you got caught up in that problem - too bad there isn't a way they could know who has come a long way and will never get back and who can come almost any time with some planning. These are lovely, almost surreal shots - you did well under the time constraints.

It is a social fashion like selfies and social networks, if you haven't been there and there and shared the instant selfie proving it in FB or else... your life is not worth it!!!
But for real travelers it is gets and more distressing. I still have Canada (Vancouver and surrounding NatParks) programmed within 5 weeks but more and more I think I will stay around my country in the natural not tourist invaded yet areas ...

Thank must have been such a bummer. Yet, you managed to get such amazing images. Wow....

It's hard to go places anymore with all the overcrowding. The area we live in is like that. You have to shop in the early morning or late at night if you want to avoid the crowds.

That's a real shame. I can sure understand your feelings. The last traveling we did was in 2005. We drove through 5 states and saw all the sights. After that things became too crowded so we don't even want to do it anymore.

It is the same in Europe, mass tourism is killing the places... no more spontaneity in relashionships, all became about money, tourists are not travellers and travellers struggle to have their place...
I am thinking a lot about stopping travelling so far away, even if I am glad to have made this trip, I would like to be able to be there months and hike in the Parks but out of touristic trails... and it is not possible for me.
