A former palace used as hotel
Champasak Palace Hotel Pakse
Built by a now-dead prince as a residence he never lived in, the Palace is now owned by a Thai group and, if this is in your budget range, is certainly worth considering. It was used as a casino too for thai people due gambling is illegal in Thailand although most of thai people can't live without gambling.
