Skippers waiting at the pier while tourist are shopping
The whole tour on the Tonlé Sap lake takes about two to three hours. The local skippers bring their passengers to a center in the floating village, where they have a stop for shopping and realxing in a coffee bar. In the meantime skippers use the waiting time for a chat among them.
To be perfectly blunt about it, I think the village Chong Khneas has become a cruddy tourist trap and not surprisingly, many of the locals are either thoroughly tired of all the tourists floating around their neighborhood or have devised ingenious ways of separating them from their money.
