Oh Diana, how I envy you. Wild finches that can only be purchased in the United States. You lucky stinker!! :D That's one of the things I love so much about visiting AU...birds like Rainbow Lorikeets in huge flocks being annoying pests! It's unimaginable! I would never ever be tired of seeing these birds but it was funny to see residents getting a bit annoyed at how they are all over everything...and cockys and finches...wild parakeets of all kinds...you have no idea how amazing it is to see all of these parrots and finches that are so COMMON! My husband and I absolutely LOVE birds, and we love to see the vast numbers of species in AU that are not seen except in cages in the US. Anyway, thank you for this fantastic picture!! :)
