Oh, Di...that's brilliant. It's SOOO typical and honest, and he holds such a lovely confident..almost defiant stance, it made me laugh out loud. I have the utmost respect for these guys.

And for their total dedication to their really crappy job, and complete acceptance and pride in what they do, and always there to please. You could shake one of these guys from a deep sleep and they would pedal for miles immediately without the slightest complaint. My utmost respect.

Yes, agreed. But there is a huge sadness in seeing these tiny, underfed men dragging a Rickshaw with 2, 3 or more hefty occupants and their goods. They are often seriously overloaded by callous customers! They live on almost nothing as the owners of the rickshaws run a gangster style racket and pocket most of the fares .....
Life on the very edge stuff :-(
