These are native to the eastern coast of Australia. This particular one apparently has done something to its beak (it also has a growth near the base of it), the beaks normally are similar in shape to those of other pigeons. Still, it makes this bird more identifiable, so I know it is a regular visitor to the feed bowl (see note).

In England it is very common for pigeons to sustain damage such as loss of toes, etc. This is the life of a city scavenger.. They still seem to survive!
