The Blue Pool awaits

The Blue Pool awaits
Down the stairways to the Blue Pool, one of several ocean pools made on rocky headlands on Australia's east coast. The attached kids' pool seems to have been emptied for some reason. HFF and have a great weekend, everyone.

That's a fabulous seawater pool! Does it get replenished at high tide? HFF, George!

Not so blue today George. A fine set of fences to see you safely down though.

Hi Tiabunna

I like this set of three pictures. Certainly looks nice now, must be even better in your summer!

Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend.

Is the pool artificial, then?

Only to the extent that (I suspect) they have removed part of the rocks from the shelf to give depth. They then have concreted the 'open' sections, Steve.

In St.Andrews (Scotland) where I was brought up, there used to be 2 tidal swimming pools, which I loved. One is now a sea-life centre and the other is falling into rack and ruin. It's good to see that this one is still in use.

Thanks, Amelia. I'd think that this is enough of a tourist attraction that it's likely to be maintained (though I do wonder about the empty kids' pool).
