Last haul of the day
Kettle Cove, Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Well, this picture is noisy; I had no tripod and didn't adjust the ISO, as the minutes were passing. Still, I like the idea!

Despite all the drawbacks and "mistakes" you mention, the end result is redolent of pleasant weariness on the part of the fisherman. Somehow I reckon a tack sharp, perfectly exposed photograph wouldn't have one tenth of the emotion of this one.
