Heb je ook al eens twee boten tegelijk in de sluis gezien Rosalyn ??

Yes, most of the time two boats enter the lock together Fred. I did that last year :)

Great shot, with the focus on the lock and boat.

The f4.2 gives an interesting focus vignette effect

This gave me quiet a scare, I had a very bad reaction to a new arthritis prescription tablet and for a few days, this is how I was viewing the world + a bit of double vision at times. Thankfully all cleared up without any lasting effects.
I like the way everyone seems to be quiet casual waiting for the lock to fill.

Hi Rosa,
Very interesting effect, so as to focus on the boat in the centre. Nice!
There is a standard size for canal boats, and the tunnels and viaducts (especially Pontcysyllte) were built only slightly wider. The water restricted flow around the bows keeps the boat from hitting the sides, so no steering is needed. Very clever.. Hence there is always room for two boats in the locks!!

Best Wishes
Peter

Hi Peter,

That is very interesting information Peter, thank you. When I was on one of these boats last year and we entered a couple of locks with another boat, they are so friendly and even offered us some of their wine on the way up ;-)

Best wishes, Rosa.

A lovely shot Rosa, I like the editing too. It must have been nice entering the lock with another boat...
