A familiar scene Rosa. I am sure that I too have walked this path. Looks like great weather in the very contrasty capture. The red safety fences actually add to this.

The problem was, it was very windy Herb, that's why we walked along the river as it's sheltered. I was not happy to see the red fences at first, but I think you may be right...they do add something!

Yes just over the border Leon. I don't know Salcombe very well, but I love to visit Sidmouth. It was where my great grandfather was the railway station master.

I believe it is the red sandstone Nouchet. Devon is known for its red soil.
