It's a somewhat less salubrious area than Belsize Park, but the flat is really nice. I won't be posting any photos of the inside of the flat. Spooner is only a temporary resident while the owner is away for a year.

Lydford Estate
|
|
The estate was originally built by the Westminster Council as social housing, but now it's probably about 75% privately owned and 25% council flats.

Bridge across the Grand Union Canal. I had a bit of a deja vu feeling, having seen this bridge many times in television programmes and my mates' photostreams, though this was the first time I'd been here IRL.

Meanwhile Gardens

On arrival day, I started my walk along the towpath to Camden Town at Ha'penny Steps and stopped to wander through Meanwhile Gardens, scoping out some possible locations for my yarn bombs.

Trellick Tower

On clear days and nights, I could see Trellick Tower from the guest room at Spooner's flat.

Seen from the other side of the canal. The mosaics look really interesting, but there was no way to get a closer view short of getting in a canal boat.

I wasn't too happy with these photos, so I went back the next week to give it another try.
