Moss Sporophytes

Wandering round my garden yesterday trying to find something to photograph, I found an old house brick which was covered in moss.
It was far too cold and windy to stay outside, and so I took the brick indoors and photographed the moss in natural window light. I used in-camera focus stacking to get maximum depth of field and a sheet of green card as a background.
There is anode shot in the PiP if you have time to look.

Great detail and lovely colours , which makes me think of spring.
The beauty of this moss sporophytes is shown in PiP, too.
Great find and idea!

Keith Burton club has replied to Herb Riddle clubIt was much more comfortable (and warm) to take the brick indoors to photograph.
The focus stacking is really good, but sometimes it can involve a lot of trial and error.......and of course you need a subject which isn't going to move!
Thanks for the gold star my friend..!!
Keith Burton club has replied to Leo W clubKeith Burton club has replied to raingirl clubThe brick is one of many I've dug up from my back garden over the years.........apparently the house I live in was the last one to to be built in the row and it seems the builders buried some left-over bricks and other assorted rubble rather than take it away to properly dispose of!
