A Wet and Muddy Horse

A Wet and Muddy Horse
Captured this morning in a field adjacent to the Mill Pond at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire. Best viewed large!

My first outing with a camera for about a week. It was very windy and freezing cold, but good to get out in the fresh air..!!

If you have time, please check out the image in the PiP. Thanks.

oHo, homaris, J.Garcia, TOZ and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

A regular sight at the moment they must be eating as much mud as grass, even the fields at the Remount Barracks near Melton Mowbray are not in their usual pristine condition, most of the horses have coats on to reduce the amount of grooming needed

Main image clearly shows how much rain it has been having and the PIP is amazing with the hairs from the manes.
We are waiting for more exterior images..good sign Keith

People care more for the look than horses ;-) seems the hair in the pip is from the checked one?

But - if they are too long in a mud paddock it is not good for the health of a horse. No dry spot to lay down, mud and water is not good for the hooves...
On the other hand - a few hours out is better than all day in the stable... not only true for horses
:-))) Get well soon!!
