Thanks Ulrich.........I'm glad you like it. We are fortunate that there a lot of talented street artists who visit Portsmouth and that our local Councils are very tolerant (when the artwork is well done like these)>

It could be I suppose......who knows?

These were all done during the Street Art Festival last September. Many businesses, and the council, plus lots of private citizens offered up their walls etc to be painted. It was sponsored by the council and local businesses donated paint and heavy equipment (such as cherry-pickers). In the run up to the festival volunteers applied base coats to all the walls so that the artists could get stuck in as soon as they arrived.

Das ist Kunst, hoffentlich bleibt es von anderen Sprayern verschont!

It is indeed Ruesterstaude..........I hope the artwork will remain for a while, but it is in the nature of street art to be overpainted eventually!

Immer wieder schön, wie die Mauern in Portsmouth gestaltet werden..bei uns werden sie beschmiert.......

I'm lucky to live so close to Portsmouth, where there are a lot of very talented artists and the council have a relaxed view of it........as long as it is nicely done!
