I love your framing and the colours you have captured in the background, with superb bokeh! Hinton Ampner House & Gardens must have been a delight to visit Keith. The shape of the seed heads in the foreground are nicely detailed and the out of focus ones finish the picture perfectly.

I finished my shopping today just in time to avoid the downpour! Who said we were going to get a heatwave!? ;-))

We got away with it, it started raining just as we were packing the shopping in the car (under cover) and it rained on the way. home, but stopped in time for us to unload and get indoors. This would have been around 11 - 12 am. This afternoon has been hot and muggy but no more rain so far.

Not looking forward to the heatwave..........but we're not going to be as hot as places like Spain where they are forecasting temperatures of 48+.

What a fascinating photo of these, Keith. You can just notice the red poppies in the bokeh, yet the poppy head seed box is all waiting. For my Art A'level I drew several poppy head seed boxes, one in pencil, one in pastels, one in water colours, one in oils and one in pen and ink. I felt very happy doing this - it was to show my adaptability.
