A Pair of Teal Ducks
Captured in the sunshine at Farlington Marshes Nature Reserve, near Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Teal are a small dabbling duck. At this time of year a significant number of these travel to the UK from the NW Europe, congregating mainly In in low-lying wetlands in the south and west.

What a beautiful head the male teal has Keith. In full screen the body feathers are beautifully sharp and clear. I guess that's the female teal in the picture. The beak is longer than a mallard, but the colours are similar. The water also looks beautiful! They are enjoying the sunshine, even though probably quite cold! Teal is a favourite colour of mine too :)
