Lovely night for a walk

My favourite weather is probably a still, warm fog. It's like the signature weather for this city.

Today and tonight the temperature rose from 5 or 6 degrees below freezing to ten degrees above ( = 50 Fahrenheit). With slight southerly winds, what can you expect but a bit of fog?

And that's what we have.

Nice lighting and mood! Reminds me of San Francisco nights while I was growing up. The fog rolled through our neighborhood so thick that I used to call it my "cloak of darkness" and did silly things like running at 1am at night, perfectly safe in my cloak...I was never visible to anyone for more than a few seconds so I had no worries! These days...I shake my head...too foolish for my own good! :D

And, yes, Janet, St John's and San Francisco are often compared -- two maritime cities with lots of hills and lots of fog. :) (Very nice pictures in your SF album!)
