2000 years old post holes
It is believed that this floor collapse was caused by post holes dug into the ground during the early stages of the Roman invasion of Britain. The post holes would have been dug for buildings in a military camp, about 45 AD,
Fishbourne Roman Palace, near Chichester, UK, which dates from about 30 years after the invasion.
