Isotria verticillata (Large Whorled Pogonia orchid)

Results of a day trip about two hours away in Transylvania County, North Carolina for native Orchids and Trilliums. We have made this trip every year about the same date. The Orchids and Trilliums did not disappoint; we found just what we were looking for.
