150000 Gannets, and a lighthouse.
Please view Large! The sight and sounds of 150000 gannets who nest on Bass Rock in peak season over the spring to autumn months. Is simply amazing!
The Bass Rock is an impressive island/rock on the North Berwick coast in the Firth of Forth, east Scotland. Sir David Attenborough has described the Gannet colony at Bass Rock as one of the 12 wildlife wonders of the world.
The Lighthouse is a 20-metre (66 ft) tall, built in 1902,It has been automated since 1988, When viewed large the ruins of St Baldred's Chapel, built on the site of St Baldred's hermitage can be seen (center of the rock),,,,,,,,, HWW!
Blues are little strong apologies!

Nice to see the lighthouse and the ruins of the chapel too, although I might have missed the ruins if you hadn't told us where they were.
I think this is one of the best shots of Bass Rock I've seen from the shore.
Roger (Grisly) club has replied to Keith Burton clubThankfully the day brought an offshore breeze which took the majority of the downsides out across the Firth, having said that the sight of so many birds was simply awe-inspiring.
