5. Sad Angus. Angus, our Westie, had to go to The Vet for dental descaling under general anaesthetic. At the same time the Vet removed a small lump which was close to Angus’ mouth. The Vet was somewhat over zealous, shaving Angus’ entire face up to just above his eyes. Poor Angus, who knew a Westie could look like this Still, it will grow back fairly quickly, and he is having a summer haircut next week so will be more in balance soon.
6. Fridge collection. Well this really was the best of the day, surprisingly… Hot day. Did see a very distant Kookaburra.
7. After collecting our groceries, we set off to do a little sightseeing, and went somewhere new, finding a boat launching ramp on the Wallamba River.
8. Walked around the neighbourhood with Angus. Saw Frangipani and Magnolia flowers, but liked the Agapanthus flowers right next to our driveway
9. Black Poodle statue. Went to the garden centre, for a variety of young trees, mulch, etc. They have such interesting things there.
10. Couldn’t resist this Hibiscus rosa-sinensis ‘Miss North Miami’.Perfect in the garden centre, but faded fast. A few new buds though.
11. It had to be you – Dora, after she relaxed a little.
12. St John the Divine, Taree Parish Church. Situated on the banks of the magnificent Manning River, Taree is one of the oldest parishes in the Diocese of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. The first Anglican (Church of England) Service in the Manning Valley was held in Taree on 3rd September 1845. It was conducted by the Reverend William Macquarie Cowper, who was the first Chaplain to the Australian Agricultural Company at St John’s Stroud. During the intervening 170 years there have only been eight Rectors. tareeanglican.org.au The present church was completed in 1957.
13. We have just acquired a new ride on mower. These birds were interested spectators of its first outing, waiting for fresh food in the grass.
14. Wild sea on the East coast of Australia. Angus, our Westie, enjoying his outing.
15. … wishing everyone a happy and healthy time
16. Wild weather still, waves crashing into the tidal pool.
17 December 2020/Bank of Agapanthus – still in flower all around the neighbourhood. NSW, Australia.
18 December 2020/Clair de lune – LP/Vinyl album from 1971. From the cover…
He was a man as various in mood as the sea… Claude Debussy was born in St. Germain-en-Laye, a suburb of Paris, in 1862… In his boyhood, he was strongly attracted to the sea; this, and the ambitions that his father had for him, indicated a career in the French navy. Instead, Debussy turned to music… For generations, Clair de lune has been the perfect evocation of moonlight…
19. Miss North Miami, New hibiscus, flowering in spite of the rain
