Canadian Pacific and I took our cameras to the Toronto Ukrainian and Polish Festivals today. Here the prime minister charms the crowd at the Ukrainian Festival. At bottom left is Chrystia Freeland, minister of foreign affairs, and behind all the iron is a whole raft of politicians, including the leader of the provincial Progressive Conservatives, the MP (Arif Virani), and candidates at the approaching provincial election.

Canadian Pacific and I took our cameras to the Toronto Ukrainian and Polish Festivals today. Here Billions Cobra charms the crowd at the Polish Festival with his fire whip act, classic and excellent busking. As you can tell from the smiles on people's faces, his patter is pretty good, too. If you click on it and view it big you notice more interesting things about the people, I think.. New City Hall (1965) in the background. It is usually attributed to Viljo Revell, but he thought his colleagues Heikki Castren, Bengt Lundsten, and Seppo Valjus should also be credited.

...but I did. I like both his photographs and his hardedge paintings of gas stations. I don't have any perspective here so this must have been inspired by his photographs.
