I like how the overhead wires divide the frame into bite-sized pieces to look at.

Those tall cranes never look safe to me and I'm always surprised you never seem to hear of them falling over (thank goodness)!

One fell over in Toronto last year, but no one was injured. There were no injuries in a collapse in Vancouver, but 12 were injured NYC. All occurred around that same time, but things seem to have settled down again.

I do like these types of images. One can look back and compare to actual views - and the older they get - they become even better. They are timestamps of the past.

Thanks, Otto. Collecting old views of streets is what got me interested in photography. I started out documenting a local street so I could compare the current street with archival shots.
