A nostalgic one.

Back when there was room at the beach, Jaap.

The old photos certainly take us into a different world and time.

I have another photo, of poor quality, of 1940s bathing costumes at the same beach. They certainly look retro.

Nice to see a (much) younger version of you John. A great set of wheels too..!!

I was cool then, Keith, but unfortunately I grew out of it.

Once upon the time, there was the word "pram" now probably one has to google it to find what it means!

"Pram" was being replaced by "baby carriage" here even when I was very young, Dinesh, but in Canada and the States we still dress children in pram suits in winter. So we still know the word but prefer its longer variant. Can't think why.

You look well nourished. I only visited to check out your statement that you had squandered the gift of hair, and I see it is true - you are just sitting around doing nothing to further ambition. And then I spotted the de luxe perambulator with its chromed mudguards and extras from the options list such as a towel rail incorporated. I realise the depth of my own deprivation. I shall continue to communicate with you, but with greater deference.

Unfortunately, TLC, I abjured worldly show later in life. I suppose I should have become a monk with good hair. I could have repented of it daily in confession. I would have had a purpose in life.
