Knightsbridge, 2013

Knightsbridge, 2013
Pre-pandemic London.

I find the large version more interesting. Type Z to see if you agree.

John Sheldon, J. Gafarot, Fred Fouarge, Keith Burton and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

A wonderful capture of life before the BigC. A super picture from that small camera. I too have a Canon S95 which must be similar to this. Great p.o.v. Well done.

Thanks, Herb. The sharpness is the product of the raw conversion software the camera came with. I had a Canon G11 before this one, which was the first camera I'd had that could shoot raw format. I was amazed by what you can do with it.

A great image and not at all my London memories! (Then again, I wasn't in Knightsbridge). Have a great weekend, John.

Thanks, George. I didn't go to London between 1989 and 2012, and the city had changed somewhat. There's still a significant portion of the old London left, though, and the changes have largely been for the better.

I'm beginning to think you've seen more of London than I have John, which wouldn't be difficult as I've tended to avoid going there unless for work. Now I've retired I'm still avoiding it, especially in the current times.

Anyway.........this is a super architectural image, well captured in lovely light and with fantastic detail. I think it's interesting that I can't see a single person in those offices, so I'm guessing you were up bright and early to take this!

Thanks, George. They could all be at break, I guess. Or practising for a pandemic.

The blue sphere that seems to float up from the monochrome/ beige space has something uncanny about it. Brings everything alive, or freezes it. Alive again, we hope, set free into Ipernity.
Well, I can post a comment at least. We may be frozen in this nostalgic state for all time, commenting on old posts. I look forward to a new dawn!

My keen eyes failed to notice that, Steve, so thanks for pointing it out. I haven't tried uploading anything yet, mainly because every time I've tried I get an error page. But maybe I'll be able to post my fence photo tomorrow.
