Der Kalkofen in Hammerunterwiesenthal ist heute ein sächsisches Kulturdenkmal. Seit 1741 wird hier in der Gegend Marmor abgebrochen. Er wurde hauptsächlich als Bau- und Düngekalk verwendet. In den 1960er Jahren wurde der Abbau hier eingestellt.
