Turquoise smoke (Explored)

When I photograph fireworks, I usually try to capture the full shape. This show, I decided to experiment with portions of the shape - using color and shape to create a mood. The fact that I was sitting 100 yards from where they were shot off helped. These fireworks were an early celebration of Independence day in Lexington, Massachusetts. There are a limited number of people who are licensed to perform large firework shows so because of this, and to save money, a number of towns hold their fireworks displays before of after the 4th of July.
