Polikarpov PO-2 (a)

This Polikarpov Po-2, has just finished being restored. Basically the Soviet equivalent of the Tiger Moth, except that up to 40,000 were produced between 1927-49, making it the second most widely-produced aircraft ever (after the Cessna 172). Many Po-2s were used for night-time nuisance raids on German troops over the Eastern Front, keeping them awake if nothing else. In this role they were often flown by women, the "Night Witches".
