Thursday 6 July 2017 (1238) – A general view of the yard at the Go-South Coast (Southern Vectis) outstation yard in Ryde. One Optare Solo single decker (3813), four Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400 double deckers (1510, 1518, 1515 and 1516) and two Van Hool Alizee coaches (7043 and 7042) are in the photograph. The Vectis Blue livery is applied to vehicles in the private hire and school transport fleet.

Thursday 6 July 2017 (1238) – Go-South Coast (Southern Vectis) 7036 (MV02 UML) seen at the Ryde outstation. It is a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B12M new to Shearings Holidays (411) in March 2002. The Vectis Blue livery is applied to vehicles in the private hire and school transport fleet.

Thursday 6 July 2017 (1240) – A general view of the yard at the Go-South Coast (Southern Vectis) outstation in Ryde. Up on the ramp is the only green bus on site during my visit, 1107 (HW58 ARZ), a Scania OmniCity N230UD new in September 2008. All the others carried the Vectis Blue livery which is applied to vehicles in the private hire and school transport fleet. Alongside is 7042 (MV02 UMS), a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B12M new to Shearings Holidays (415) in March 2002 and 3815 (HW62 CNJ). Two Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400 double deckers are in the background of the photograph.

A Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B12B new to Shearings Holidays (417) in March 2002. The Vectis Blue livery is applied to vehicles in the private hire and school transport fleet.

The Isle of Wight Bus and Coach Museum occupies part of the site and preserved Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR NDL 637M can be seen parked in the background.

A Plaxton Paragon bodied Volvo B12M that had been new to Go-North East for National Express work in November 2002 registered JCN 822. It carries the Vectis Blue livery applied to vehicles in the private hire and school transport fleet.

Monday 3 July 2017 (1056) – Go-South Coast (Southern Vectis) 7086 (NA52 RNE) seen at Ventnor Botanic Gardens. A Plaxton Paragon bodied Volvo B12M that had been new to Go-North East for National Express work in November 2002 registered JCN 822. Friday 7 July 2017 (1020) – The sound of an engine from an earlier era coming up a nearby hill prompted me to direct the camera towards what I heard and I clicked this photograph. CDL 899, an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol K5G dating from 1939, is in the heritage fleet of Go-South Coast (Southern Vectis) having been new to the Southern Vectis Omnibus Company. It was climbing the hill towards Trinity Road in Ventnor.

Thursday 6 July 2017 (1240) – The Isle of Wight Bus and Coach Museum occupies the former Go-South Coast (Southern Vectis) garage in Ryde. G526 VYE is a Duple bodied Dennis Dart that had been new to London United (DT26) in April 1990. NDL 637M is an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR that had been new to Southern Vectis (637) in October 1973.

Tuesday 4 July 2017 (1230) – West Wight Community Access Limited provides some local mini-bus services around Freshwater, Yarmouth and Totland operated as FYT bus. Peugeot mini-bus W4 FYT seen at Freshwater Bay on route A.

Friday 7 July 2017 (1039) – Following the withdrawal of the normal bus service from Ventnor to St. Lawrence (west of the town) and Bonchurch (to the east) a substitute was provided with support from Ventnor Town Council. Service 31 covers three different routes worked by one mini-bus five days a week between 0945 and 1348. Renault mini-bus HX53 AZC, operated by Priory School in Whippingham, was seen on the Esplanade seafront.
