Wednesday 26 October 2016 (1528) – Centrebus Optare Solo 323 (YJ11 EKE) seen in Uppingham when working the 1540 service 12 to Stamford. It was new to Network Warrington (205) in March 2011.

Thursday 27 October 2016 (1403) – Centrebus Optare Solo 277 (YJ51 ZVZ) seen in High Street, Oakham when working the ‘Oakham Hopper’ town service 146. It was new in November 2001 to Nottingham City Transport (139).

Thursday 27 October 2016 (1357) – Centrebus Optare Solo 277 (YJ51 ZVZ) seen turning from Mill Street into South Street in Oakham when working the ‘Oakham Hopper’ town service 146. It was new in November 2001 to Nottingham City Transport (139).

Thursday 27 October 2016 (0847) – Centrebus 661 (YJ60 GFO), an MCV Evolution bodied VDL SB180 new in January 2011, rolling through Empingham village as it worked the 0730 service 19 from Peterborough to Nottingham. This hourly service has an end to end journey time of just a few minutes short of three hours. Prior to 1st December 2013 Centrebus operated two separate services either side of Oakham which had originated with Kimes Buses (from Peterborough via Stamford) and Paul James Coaches (Veolia) (from Nottingham via Melton Mowbray). Centrebus linked the two services with through running although different service numbers were used (9 and 19 respectively). From 28 August 2016 the service was numbered 19 throughout.

(I read on the Centrebus Yahoo group forum that this bus and YH63 CXC had their identities ‘mixed up’ when new and consequently they became 670 (YH63 CXC) (rather than 671) and YH63 CXB became 671 (rather than 670)). This hourly service has an end to end journey time of just a few minutes short of three hours. Wednesday 26 October 2016 (1333) – ‘Call Connect’ liveried Vauxhall (Movano?) mini-bus 214 (PF14 WRO) seen in Oundle, Northamptonshire. The Nene and Welland Call Connect dial-a-ride service operates in the rural areas of Rutland, North Northamptonshire plus the Stamford and Market Deeping districts of Lincolnshire. The clock in the photograph is definitely wrong!
