DSCF5782 Centrebus 662 (YJ60 GFU) in Empingham - 28 Oct 2016

Friday 28 October 2016 (0918) – Centrebus 662 (YJ60 GFU), an MCV Evolution bodied VDL SB180 new in January 2011, rolling through Empingham village as it worked the 0725 service 19 from Nottingham to Peterborough. This hourly service has an end to end journey time of just a few minutes short of three hours. Prior to 1st December 2013 Centrebus operated two separate services either side of Oakham which had originated with Kimes Buses (from Peterborough via Stamford) and Paul James Coaches (Veolia) (from Nottingham via Melton Mowbray). Centrebus linked the two services with through running although different service numbers were used (9 and 19 respectively). From 28 August 2016 the service was numbered 19 throughout.
