Mil-Ken Travel
Folder: East Anglian buses and coaches
Mil-Ken Travel takes its name from John MIller based in Kentford near Bury St. Edmunds. Over the years the business has expanded with the acquisition of Storey's Coaches of Littleport and Neal's Coaches of Isleham. (The latter name is still used and my photos of same have their own album).

Sunday 11 June 1995 – Mil-Ken Travel C262 WBC seen at Barton Mills. This service station on the approach to Fiveways on the eastbound carriageway of the A11 has sold different fuel brands over the years. Once a Fina station it was selling Esso fuel at the time and later became BP. I suspect the driver had just popped in for something from the shop rather than for fuel because this garage was not too far from the Mil-Ken yard at Kentford.
It is a Willowbrook Crusader bodied Bedford YNV that had been new to Cresswell Coaches of Moira, Leicestershire in May 1986.

Once a Fina station it was selling Esso fuel at the time and later became BP. The building on the extreme right edge of the photograph was AJ’s Restaurant (Pancake and Waffle Shack in the 2010s).
