East Yorkshire/Primrose Valley 198 (GWV 935V) in Scarborough – 12 Aug 1994 (236-24)

Friday 12 August 1994 – East Yorkshire Motor Services is the larger operator in the Scarborough area and in addition to its main fleetname it also uses the Scarborough and District name as well as the Primrose Valley Coaches name.

The Primrose Valley Coaches business which operated local services around Filey, notably to the holiday centres and caravan sites around the resort, was acquired by EYMS that continued to use the name for some time.

Plaxton Supreme Express bodied Leyland Leopard 198 (GWV 935V), which had been new to Southdown Motor Services (1335) in July 1980, was parked at Westwood, Scarborough. It carried Primrose Valley names but had actually entered EYMS ownership in 1992 when another local business, Thornton-le-Dale Coaches, was acquired.
