Manchester Metrolink tram in Mosley Street, Manchester - 14 Jul 1992 (167-16)

Tuesday 14 July 1992 – The Manchester Metrolink tramway system was officially opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II three days after this photograph was taken. One of the 26 Italian built Firema T-68 tram sets acquired to launch the system is seen in Mosley Street. These sets lasted for 22 years before being replaced.
