Easter Sunday 16 April 1995 – Easter Sunday 16 April 1995 – Following the acquisition of Ellen Smith (Tours) Limited by Rossendale Transport in 1991, Rossendale used the Ellen Smith name for its coaching activities. These coaches were seen in Newgate in Rochdale town centre ready to take passengers out for the day.

383 (LIB 1183) with 384 (LIB 1184) directly behind. They were duplicating the ‘Fylde Coaster’ service and both carry dedicated lettering for services numbered X69 and X79, the latter number from the days of the erstwhile Yelloway service. New to Hills of Tredegar in March 1982 as NDW 149X and NDW 148X respectively which had been in the Rossendale fleet (as fleet numbers 83 and 84) prior to the acquisition of and transfer to the Ellen Smith business. The Rossendale town crest is carried on the grille of 383.

Across the road is Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M-60 number 321 (RJI 8721) new as F348 JSU to Bruce Coaches, Airdrie in March 1989, loading for a day excursion to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.
