Preserved former Ribble DCK 219 at the Stagecoach Morecambe garage open day - 25 May 2019 (P1020310)

Preserved former Ribble DCK 219 at the Stagecoach Morecambe garage open day - 25 May 2019 (P1020310)
Saturday 25 May 2019 – New to Ribble in 1951, DCK 219 was one of the twenty East Lancs bodied Leyland PD2/3 that carried the coach livery for use on the longer distance limited stop/express services within the North West of England. The livery style gave them the name ‘White Lady’ despite them being more cream than white.

This vehicle is licenced to Fife Scottish Omnibuses, one of the Stagecoach subsidiaries in Scotland. Having participated in the open day at the Stagecoach North West garage in Morecambe on the 25th May, the next day it was active on the road as part of the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust 'Morecambe Vintage Bus Day'. Both events were to celebrate 100 years of Ribble Motor Services.
