Yorkshire Rider L541 XUT and Rapson’s G453 VSL at Chorlton Street Coach Station, Manchester - 16 Apr 1995 (261-23)


Easter Sunday 16 April 1995 (approx. 1340) – National Express coaches at Chorlton Street Coach Station in Manchester. Left is Yorkshire Rider 1424 (L541 XUT), a Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo B10M, in the ‘Express Shuttle’ livery for the Manchester to Leeds service (361) and Manchester to Bradford service (362). Right is Rapson’s of Inverness, Scotland G453 VSL, a Plaxton Expressliner I bodied Volvo B10M new in June 1990 to National Express owned Express Travel Services. It was working the 0810 service 738 from Oxford to Glasgow – spot on time due in at 1335 and out at 1345.
