Ayant laissé un vieux cheval dans la forêt d'Andaine, Hugues, seigneur de Tessé a été surpris de le voir, quelques jours plus tard, revenir vers lui, frais et vigoureux. Intrigué, Hugues monta sur le cheval qui le conduisit aux sources de Bagnoles, où le vieux seigneur se baigna à son tour. Sortant de l'eau, il eut également trouvé force et jeunesse. Il épousa la Dame de Bonvouloir et eut beaucoup d'enfants avec elle. En reconnaissance de la force retrouvée, il fit monter cette tour, sous une forme symbolique... BONVOULOIR TOWER AND ITS AMUSING STORY: Having left an aged steed in the Andaine Forest, Hugues, Lord of Tessé was surprised to see it come back to him a few days later, brisk and vigorous. Intrigued, Hugues mounted the horse that led him to the sources of Bagnoles, where the old Lord had a bath in his turn. Coming out of the water he found force and youth also. He married the Lady of Bonvouloir and had many children with her. In recognition of the recovered force, he made raise this tower, in a symbolic form... DER BONVOULOIR-TURM UND SEINE AMÜSANTE GESCHICHTE : Nachdem er ein altes Pferd im Wald von Andaine zurückgelassen hatte, war Hugues, der Herr von Tessé, überrascht, als es einige Tage später frisch und kräftig zu ihm zurückkehrte. Neugierig geworden, stieg Hugues auf das Pferd, das ihn zu den Quellen von Bagnoles brachte, wo der alte Herr seinerseits badete. Als er aus dem Wasser stieg, hatte auch er Kraft und Jugend wieder gefunden. Er heiratete die Dame von Bonvouloir und hatte viele Kinder mit ihr. Aus Dankbarkeit für die wiedergewonnene Kraft liess er diesen Turm in symbolischer Form errichten...

It is located in the picturesque park of the castle with rare and centennial trees. You can notice especially the superb conifers, some of which are impressive in height, such as the enormous "Sequoiadendron giganteum". "L'arbre sorcière" se trouve dans le parc pittoresque du château avec des arbres rares et centenaires. On remarque surtout les superbes résineux dont certains sont impressionnants de hauteur, comme les énormes "Sequoiadendron giganteum".

This is the bench of our picnic. In the background you can see the whole old tree shown in this photo . I post my bench photo already today, tomorrow morning we'll leave for holidays again (direction southwards). Voici le banc de notre pique-nique. Au fond on aperçoit le vieil arbre entier présenté sur cette photo . Je poste ma photo de banc déjà aujourd'hui, car demain matin, départ en vacances (direction du Sud). Hier ist unser Picknickplatz. Im Hintergrund sieht man den ganzen alten Baum, der auf diesem Foto gezeigt ist . Ich poste mein Bank-Foto schon heute, denn morgen früh geht's wieder los in den Urlaub (südliche Richtung).

... et les falaises de Champeaux dans la baie du Mont St Michel. Au pied de ce massif, à marée basse, on y trouve le plus grand récif d’hermelles d’Europe, certains pouvant atteindre jusqu’à 1,50 m de hauteur. Ces colonies de petits vers marins confectionnent, sur les roches, des tubes d’env. 30 cm constitués de grains de sable et débris de coquilles. Le PiP montre la vue vers la gauche. C'est encore marée basse, mais la mer remonte. THE OLD TREE IN FRONT OF THE BEACH ... and the cliffs of Champeaux in the bay of Mont St Michel. At the foot of this massif at low tide, you can find the largest funnel worm reef in Europe, some of which can be up to 1.50 m high. These colonies of small sea worms form around 30 cm long tubes on the rocks, made of grains of sand and remains of mussels. The PiP shows the view to the left. It's still low tide, but the sea is rising. DER ALTE BAUM VOR DEM STRAND... und die Klippen von Champeaux in der Bucht des Mont St Michel. Am Fusse dieses Massivs findet man bei Ebbe das größte Trichterwurm-Riff Europas, das teilweise bis zu 1,50 m hoch werden kann. Diese Kolonien kleiner Meereswürmer bilden auf den Felsen rund 30 cm lange Röhren aus Sandkörnern und Muschelresten. Das PiP zeigt die Ansicht nach links. Es ist noch Ebbe, aber das Meer steigt.

Es ist ein idealer Anlaufpunkt für alle, die die Bucht und ihre berühmte Abtei abseits des Touristenstroms entdecken möchten.

Salt meadows are the upper part of the tidal zone and develop at the end of the Bay of Mont Saint Michel, where fine sediments are deposited, protected from waves and strong currents. The plants that colonise this area are adapted to the presence of salt water. Sheep and lambs graze in these meadows where the soil is salty due to the high concentration of minerals caused by the tides, giving the meat its distinctive taste. PRAIRIES SPECIALES POUR MOUTONS ET AGNEAUX. Les prés salés sont la partie supérieure de la zone de balancement des marées. Ils se développent dans le fond de la baie du Mont Saint Michel, là où une sédimentation fine se produit, à l’abri des houles et des forts courants. Les plantes qui occupent cet espace sont adaptées à la présence d’eau salée. Les moutons et les agneaux paissent dans ces prés où le sol est salé en raison de la forte concentration de minéraux à cause des marées, ce qui donne à la viande son goût particulier. BESONDERE WIESEN FÜR SCHAFE UND LÄMMER. Die Salzwiesen bilden den oberen Teil der Gezeitenzone, die sich am Ende der Bucht des Mont Saint Michel entwickelt, wo sich feine Sedimente ablagern, geschützt vor Wellengang und starken Strömungen. Die Pflanzen, die diesen Bereich besiedeln, sind an das Vorhandensein von Salzwasser angepasst. Schafe und Lämmer weiden auf diesen Wiesen, wo der Boden salzig ist aufgrund der durch die Gezeiten verursachten hohen Mineralienkonzentration, was dem Fleisch seinen unverwechselbaren Geschmack verleiht.

Attention aux moutons Achtung Schafe

Someone must have lost a boot in the mud of the Bay of Mont St Michel. This majestic, silent plain looks so quiet and deserted that inexperienced visitors can easily be fooled. Before setting off, it's better to be safe than sorry! PORTE-BOTTE INDIVIDUEL ;-) Quelqu'un a dû perdre une botte dans la vase de la baie du Mont St Michel. Les apparences tranquilles et désertiques de cette majestueuse plaine silencieuse trompent souvent les visiteurs peu aguerris qui l’arpentent. Mieux vaut prendre ses précautions avant de s'y aventurer! INDIVIDUELLER STIEFELHALTER ;-) Jemand hat wohl einen Stiefel im Schlamm der Bucht des Mont St. Michel verloren. Diese majestätische, stille Ebene sieht so ruhig und verlassen aus, die unerfahrene Besucher leicht täuschen kann. Bevor man sich auf den Weg macht ist es besser, auf Nummer sicher zu gehen!
