"L'île de Pâques bretonne"
A most remarkable site. Currently, more than 100 statues (2.5 - 7 m high) have been erected and you can watch the sculptors at work.

The aim is to create a "Breton Easter Island of the 3rd millennium", a place honoring the collective memory of Brittany through the installation of large granite statues, to the effigy of 1000 Breton saints who founded a parish; around myths of foundation are added legends telling the exploits of these characters.

Thanks Jaap. I've never been to Easter Island, but I would have loved it (still on my bucket list!) - but this island is really at the end of the world!! Brittany is much closer ;-)) Of course the Easter Island statues are breathtaking, but some of these ones (with 7m high) are not bad at all...

C'est dans les Côtes d'Armor, au lieu-dit "Quénéquillec" à Carnoët. Le site s'appelle 'La Vallée des Saints" (même s'il est sur une colline ;-)) Si tu as l'occasion, vas-y, cela vaut vraiment le coup d'oeil. Je te joins aussi ce lien, tu verras, c'est très intéressant (comme le lien que Dominique a indiqué ci-dessus). Bon dimanche, Sylvie.

Voila 3 ans j'ai fait un détour par la vallée des Saints et été très impressionné par ce projet ,ce qui est intéressant c'est de voir les tailleurs de pierre au travail . Au dernières nouvelles l'ambiance au sein de l'association n’était pas au top .

Effectivement, c'est vraiment intéressant de les voir travailler, c'est pour cela que j'ai mis les 2 PiPs. et c'est fascinant de voir comment un bloc de roc devient une statue... J'ignore tout de l'association mais espère qu'ils vont s'entendre pour mener à bien ce projet génial.

Ach ja, ein Besuch in der Bretagne steht auch noch auf meinem Wunschzettel. Da steht aber auch die Franche-Comté. Und die Toskana, und Kalabrien, und Montenegro... Und gestern habe ich festgestellt, dass es eine Flugverbindung von Luxemburg nach Biarritz gibt... Alles abhängig davon, wie zügig unsere Bürokratie ein Impfprogramm hinbekommt... Danke Marco. Deine "To-Do-Liste" ist ja sehr lang... aber irgendwo musst du anfangen, z.B. nach alphabetischer Reihenfolge, da wäre dann die Bretagne an 1. Stelle ;-)) Bleiben wir positiv und drücken die Daumen.... Noch eine schöne Woche.
