Auf dem Dach des Technikmuseums in Berlin befindet sich eine Douglas DC-3, hier im Bild in der Verglasung des Dachs doppelt gespiegelt. Mit DC-3 Militärversionen wurden bei der Berlinblockade von Juni 1948 bis September 1949 erfolgreich die Bewohner West-Berlins mit allem zum Leben Notwendigen versorgt.
